Lectrosonics 195

A sound man i know is offering to sell me his Lectrosonics 195 set (receiver and transmitter). He's not including the mic, just the units. I tried to search for it at B&H website but couldn't find it because it was discontinued. Anyone can recommend the set (or not) and if so how much can i expect to pay for it (he didn't mention the price yet).

the 195's were work horses for many years (the 195D)

My own personal opinion is to stay away from any systems that only work on 1 freq.
Ive never done a direct comparison but I bet the Senn G2's arent much behind the
195's as far as audio quality, and the fact that the G2 are freq agile makes it a no brainer.

You can see the going rates for used wireless here.
(i have 2 411 systems on there)

So u r saying that if i get G2 units with Countryman B6 mic (for about $830 total) i would be better off then Lecro195 units for $700 (according to your website) + $280 for Countryman mic ($980 total)?

$150 difference between G2 set (new) and Lecro set (used).

Im saying, dont buy a wireless unit in this day and age that only works on ONE fixed Freq. (the 195)

Frequency agile units can switch between hundreds of freq's so if you're in a situation where
you're getting interference you can move to a different freq.

So going on that alone, the closest style units that can change freq's
that seem to be respected around here for more inexpensive choices..
would be the Senn G2.

The lowest model Lectrosonics that I would recommend is a 205 or 210

or you can just go full tilt and buy my 411's on that site ;) (joking)
