lectro 187 repair/diagnosis?

I have a Lectro 187 pair that I got off of ebay about a year ago, used them several times and they were great. A week ago, I couldn't get a signal to the receiver, so I switched the betteries and it was fine. Then I used them yesterday and I get nothing to the receiver. The transmitter is showing it's level out and peak detection, and I tried the receiver with both internal power and phantom, switched 3 brands of new 9v batteries, and I get no led lighting up to say it's receiving...

Does anyone have any other tips of things to try, or any ideas where I could get hem diagnosed cheaply in NYC? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Send it in to Lectro - their service and support departments are great.

BTW, suggestion for everyone: If you buy used equipment, send it to be checked out before using it. It may cost a little more, but it is surely worth the peace of mind (and don't call me Shirley). I've done that with every piece of used equipment that didn't come from Coffey or Trew - but I would confirm with them that they have actually checked the unit out before deciding not to send it back to the factory for a check up.

It sounds like the crystal needs to be re-tuned. As Phil said, send to Lectro. $100 or less will have it sounding like new.
