Leave Redrock on all the time?

I have two questions. Is it okay to leave the M2 attached to the camera all the time, even in the case?

Second question, if any of you do that, what kind of case do you use? I was thinking something like a rifle or telescope case would be the most inexpensive method. Pelican would be the most secure, but it would also be the largest. Any opinions?

Thanks a bunch!

I leave my adapter on the camera all the time (I have a Sgblade) it is safer for everything in my opinion, plus it also saves you from having to bring one more case. Also you don't have to spend time building it out again.

I have a pelican 1650 which holds everything I need, monitor, anton bauer batteries and charger, etc...

I typically leave my adapter rigged on the camera all the time. It's attached with a quick release adapter to the rails so I can remove it pretty quickly if I need to.

I've previously used Pelican cases (1650) to hold my entire rigs, including the mattebox. It also carries other gear like additional lenses, external monitor, batteries, adapters, etc.

The setup I have now is larger (about 26" in length) now so I'm using a Storm im3075 to hold everything. It's quite a monster with exterior dimensions of 33"Lx24"Wx19"H and weighs 32 pounds by itself. I sniped a brand new one off eBay for <$200...
