Leather Chamois from Auto Store

I have been trying to get a leather chamois to clean my filters and DVX, but I can't find one at a photo store or online. How about using a genuine leather chamois from the auto parts store? I have heard they work well. What do you think?

This was suggested to me by my film teacher because i cannot seem to find any lint free swabs in town and desperatly need to clean the heads on my gs12. Now my problem is where to find some kind of head cleaning fluid.

I just purchased one at Calumet (in store). I don't know if they take orders online, but it might be worth a look.

I have heard of using auto chamois, but one thing that you would need to do is boil it thoroughly. Supposedly this removes any oil/chemicals/impurities from manafacturing.
