Leaked pics of new 4K Sony camcorders

Looks like the successors to the AX100/X70 siblings, so yes, 1" sensors. The closeup photo on that SAR post shows a continuous f2.8 lens, that would be very nice.

Hopefully there's still an ND filter, 4k60, and the rolling shutter isn't as awful as the AX100. And the color and DR have been improved. Aaaand the price isn't ridiculous.

Very interesting to me as I've been wanting a zoomy 4K60 camera that could match well with a GH5, but that isn't as big or expensive as the UX180.

The rolling shutter on the RX100 V is twice as fast as that on the RX100 IV, so yes, I guess it's been sorted out here too.

Nice to see Sony making such good use of this lovely 1" sensor: all sorts of options for many different types of users, all using the same building block but different usability options. Now, if they only added an RX100-like version with a fixed 24mm f/1.2 lens... and give it slog3 and internal 4k60 too, please XD

And in keeping with that mentality, an a7III with the same sensor as the a9 but without the crazy RAW fps and adding lovely 4k60 slog3 would get my $$$$ in a heartbeat (among other things it would show that Sony cares about its customers and crippled the a9 video capabilities because there was a cheaper option down the road) (yes I know I'm daydreaming).

What would make the AX100 better?
1. Yes, f/2.8 through-out the 12x zoom range (it ramps up rather rapidly as you zoom)
2. FHD HFR (currently 720p @ 120fps) Even the AX53 has 1080p @120.
3. 4K out the HDMI port during recording. (currently get everything out the HDMI except 4K. Workaround is to stay in STBY mode and get 4K out to ext. recorder)
4. Give all recording modes 100Mbps, not just 4K. I would like to see higher quality and higher resolution 120fps, and it's currently only 50 or 60Mbps.
5. More effective image stabilization. The IS is mediocre. Not expecting B.O.S.S., but just some improvement.

Not too far out there. Sensitivity is okay already, so if they give a constant f/2.8, that will be great.

Sony has been doing well with the 1"-type sensor, and frankly I don't mind if they milk it until cheese comes out of the lens. Seems to me, the AX100 was an odd-ball release, in that Sony originally marketed it as a consumer camera due to it's "consumer" codec. But, as we all know, it came with lots of features only found on pro-sumer cams. It was $2,000 USD and I eventually bought two of them and take it nearly everywhere. I think the AX53 is also great, especially for hand-held, as it's hard to beat the BOSS.

What I don't want to see... a new battery type or a new Lanc port/signal design.

Finally! I've been using the AX100 for years and love it but was worried Sony had abandoned this line. Great news, I'll be buying the AX700.
