I am looking to upgrade my 21" viewsonic g810 to an LCD since it appears it is starting to have major problems with getting it calibrated and staying even close to calibrated for more than a day. I really don't know what to look for in the specs past teh basics. I think I might just go for viewsonic and pay teh extra bucks to make sure I have somethign that is professional quality. maybe people can talk about their knowledge on lcds and recommend some?

19" will have about as much viewing area as your 21, but lesser resolution.

I'd find reviews on whichever model you find, as they can differ greatly. Sometimes the LCD panel size will be a poor performing one which may effect many brands as LCD panels are made by only a few companies.
