lcd hood.

Any recommendations on a hood for the flip out screen? The one's I'm aware of are the Panasonic hood-100 ($25) and the hoodman h-400 ($20). Has anybody here used either of them?

I have the Hoodman and love it! It matches my Cinetactics MatteBlox. I also have a Petrol but have not used it yet.

I'm curious. Is it really that useful? I was thinking of getting one, but I am just as content with just using the viewfinder. Habit from my school days of using the viewfinder for the 16 and 35mm film cameras.

The hood makes a world of difference especially if you have the camera high or very low. And when you are doing a pan and tilt at the same time a larger viewing area is great. i.m.h.o. 8)

I just ordered my HOOD and am looking forward to it. I have been shooting EXT's at times (not using viewfinder; but using Glidecam or low or hi shots) and have been cursing the light on the LCD.
