LCD broadcast monitors

Any thoughts on using LCD monitors for studio monitoring vs. CRT, particularly the ones in the less than $600 market, like the Marshalls and Panasonic. The benefits of space and no-radiation seem very appealing but I know that CRT is somewhat more accurate, but how much?

thanks

I definitely wouldn't use a 4"LCD for lighting. That would drive me nuts. Might as well stick with the DVX LCD in that case. I think LCD's current technology at that price serves for eye relief and jib use. Some folks have contradicted me about this, but I still stand by my CRt for lighting. Every pro shoot I have ever been on, and every DP I have ever worked with, uses a CRT for lighting, then they use an LCD for the focus puller, because they are light, sharp, and maneuverable. Try this CRT: http://www.evsonline.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=TM910SU

Good LCD:

Same LCD with DVX battery mount:

I have the marshall VLCD4 pro and I use it for my glidecamm 4000 and a jib. The image isn´t good as the DVX´s LCD, so I don´t think that it was a good field monitor, it is small and the colour is not the same.
