Layered .PSD's are STILLS on IMPORT to BIN!?!?!

Every time i save a psd from photoshop (layered, all rasterized layers... including my text layers...) and i save the file w/ the layers checkbox marked. i even make sure the compatability option is on... but when i import into FCP 4, it shows as a flat layer. When i drag into my sequence, its just 1 video layer, and displays as a flat psd, and my psd in photoshop is like 8 layers. It doesnt show as layers in FCP, so what am i doing wrong!?!?!

If you import a multilayered Photoshop file it should import as a sequence.
Check the FCP Help files and create a test layered image with simple layers to see how it works. Import hould create a sequence. Double click on sequence in bin and you should see the timeline with the layers.
