Lawn Dogs: was this film a success or a failure?

I am looking at the IMDB figures and they read as follows:

Budget: $8,000,000 (estimated)

Gross:
$106,292 (USA) (1 November 1998)

Not sure about the $8 million budget, but production values were high here, and the cast was fairly respectable. While hardly "a timeless classic", this film got a lot of attention from the networks and plenty of reruns (here in Australia it's been shown at least 6 times). I would not be surprised to see it replayed even now, more than 10 years after its release.
Considering all this, was this film a huge flop, or a great success?

Guess nobody cares one way or the other...

Well, the figures alone raise many questions, but I know I would have been proud to be involved in the production team for a film like this. It may have lost millions at the box office, but it's still a worthwhile story.

I don't think it's that nobody cares - but that nobody knows one way or the other.
The numbers from DVD revenues, Cable/VOD, etc are not public - so there isn't really much way to know unless you were involved with the film at the highest level and are privy to those numbers.

But it is probably fair to assume that with the budget and gross you listed that it wasn't a great success.

Home video and TV sales are closely connected to box office success. From those numbers, it seems almost impossible for this movie to have made any profit.
