LAV rental

I need just one lav for interviews but I know nothing about which to choose and where to go...

I have a MixPre so I only have two channels and I will be booming either with an Oktava MK-012 or an AT4073a so I am hoping to get something that will match quality and hopefully also be a close match to their sound...

Also I live between Location Sound and Coffey Sound so if those are cheap I could go there...

What is recommended?

THANKS A MILLION!!!

thanks a million Oleg

yes, I know they won't match but just be close/similar enough

what would be a good rental price on those?

I just saw the Lectosonics 200's were used on "Meet the Fockers" that's good enough for me then :) just renting anyway...

where should I look/go?

oleg I'd kiss u if u were here!

well, no.. but I'd ask my girlfriend do it for me!
hehe... don't get any ideas!

thanks!

CRAP!!!! I can't find any on the www. I gotta just call them tomorrow...
Just to make sure till I can call them tomorrow, is the $40-50 for the mic, transmitter and receiver or just for the antenna...? :)

how about a Sennheiser G2 system with a Countryman B6?
would that not be a good match?

I called coffey and they only have Lectro 400's for $75 a day sounds like a bit of overkill but nice to know they are also within reach.

Location Sound said they have an older model of the 400's for $50 then he said they'd match prices too so I made up a $45 quote and he quickly agreed!

I bet Coffey would also match prices though.

You might go into coffeysound's used gear section...they have used Lectrosonics for sale..I got mine from them months ago..but the it was a complete U195 system.

I need to go over there and take a look... I am so disconcerted about my audio gear and my lack of knowledge... I am wondering if I did wrong in getting the MixPre before picking up a used DAT recorder and a talk back system... used they would be half of what the MixPre coasted me brand new...

Also I have no clue about the lavs transmitters and so on... so I have no clue of what package to put together... :(
