Latest MS hole

I really think the slow and painful death penalty should be in store for anyone ever caught F#*&($G up my computer. This should apply to the writers of viruses and the senders of spam. These are the lowest forms of infectious and parasitic life on the planet. Who gets off on writing programs the only purpose of which is to jack everyone's world?

Holy crap man!

This is JUST what infected my computer 2 days ago! I spent 4 hours installing anti-virus and anti-spyware programs in order to get rid of it, but now, my PC has gone down for good. I don't know if it had anything to do witht this, but the motherboard is fried now or something, $350 upgrades are on the way in the mail... That REALLY sucked!

Grrrr. I can't wait till I get my mac.

mac has much more holes, but you do not know about it. on TV I saw an interview with one of the world's leader virusscan software builder firm's technical manager, who said that windows has less holes and safetier than mac, however most of the viruses are built for win

Linux is the safest, right? If there was an NLE for Linux that was identical to Vegas.. Damn. I'm on a Linux based comp now while waiting for the parts to arrive to rebuild the other one, Linux is really cool I must say, although difficult to master when used to Micro$uck Windows.

if you're going to make a statement like above- get your facts and references straight. what company? symantec? what channel on tv? who made this statement?

sorry, but that seems to be a riduculous statement to me. I will be the first to admit mac has security flaws- so does linux, they all do. but much more holes? thats ludicris. You mean ports? you mean flaws in programs? what to you mean by holes?

The difference between Windows and Linux, security-wise: Linux comes out of the baox totally locked down. Windows comes (almost) totally open.

If you don't mess with settings, that's what you're stuck with.

So....how many Linux folks are running as superuser? Duh.

I mean flaws in programs, and I saw this documentary on (spektrum/nat.geo./discovery) and not only one company was asked...so the most of the antivirus companies were agreed with that statement. I just do not remember which was the leader.
