Later Y'all!

Re: Later Y'all!

Mike -- Have a great trip and don't believe for a second that you can keep up with the Irish in a pub. Great people and a beautiful country. If you're going to be driving, make sure your final arrangements are in order. :-)

Re: Later Y'all!

Well I'm back!

Went through Belfast (yes, in the north, hahaha but all was well) then through to a small villiage in Ballyvaughan, then to Kinsale, then Cashel, Glendalough (where they shot some scenes of Braveheart ;)) and finally to Dublin!

I had a grand time!

Now I gotta finish catching up with all the posts! I'll probably end up skipping through most of them :P

Re: Later Y'all!

I DIDN'T SEE THE SIGNS!!! ???

That's kinda freaky! I actually had heard the troubles had ended a few (6?) years ago...though there's apparently a religious festival this week which would cause some problems...

I was in Belfast for two days two weeks ago though...so if it was because of this festival, I was in the clear...

Re: Later Y'all!

I'm suprised you didn't see any. They say "Warning: Snipers are at Posts" or something along those lines and they hang everywhere....oh well...

Could you understand anyone?

Re: Later Y'all!

that sounds sketchy at hell.. good excuse to make a documentary and goto Ireland.

Welcome back Mike!

Re: Later Y'all!

Wow....I saw some graffitti on walls, and thats about it...just what looked like gang tags or something...no legitimate signs!

And yeah I understood them.....most of the time :P
One of my goals was to pick up a legitimate Irish accent...the ladies love it!

Damn you Colin Farrel... :P

Re: Later Y'all!

Word is there's another reason the ladies love Colin Farrel. In his new film, A Home at the End of the World, the filmmakers reportedly cut Colin's full frontal nude scene because the ladies were distracted by the size of Colin's, um, naughty bits.
