:Hey everybody, a couple of weeks ago i shot a live music video using a panasonic HVX 200. I transfered the footage to an external hard drive via P2CMS. The editor called and he tells me that he is having trouble capturing the footage into Final Cut. He told me that the Last Clip.txt file is missing and that is the cause of the problem. I was wondering what can be done to get the footage into final cut so he can edit. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Wish I could tell you more, but I am only able to talk to the editor over the phone and am going on what he told me. Thank you.

As I understand it, you can create a bogus lastclip.txt file. The system needs to see the file is there, but it doesn't use it unless you have spanned clips. That being said, "if" you have spanned clips, you may very well not be able to recover the footage.
