My university housing department is looking for a nice camcorder under $400 USD. Ive been trying to convince them to get a T2i or something similar (maybe a panasonic GH1) but they seem to think these are out of their price range. Requirements:
Fairly large sensor/decent high iso (Im thinking 1/6 or larger)
Mic Input (does not have to be XLR but it wouldnt hurt)
Decent Image stabilization
HD is not required, but definitely preferred. Of course Id love something that will do 1080 in 60P, but these cameras will mainly be used by novices. Id also prefer not to have to get HDV, but will settle if I have to
Thanks!
