large HD files on HD LCDscreen

Hi all,

One of our clients wishes for an 'animated painting' or simply put a 3 hour slow moving videoclip on his HD LCD screen. We've taken a little test on his screen with SD DVX footage, but it doesn't quite cut it, due to the flickering pixels. We've now converted some of the footage to HD which should be better. Now here's the question: What is our best option to show HD MOV. files on his screen? Is a PC/MAC needed for this, or are there other devices possible to send out these signals? We've already tried a hard disk straight to his tv, but the thing only recognizes photos, not videofiles...

Cheers for any experiences/suggestions!

McGee has it right... you might not need MXO though if it's a television. Just DVI > HDMI/DVI signal.

I does it all the time with my Westy.

So a laptop capable of looping without slowing down (or a Desktop), DVI>HDMI/DVI connection, And your file.

Also, compress it the best you can to make playback optimal or risk the footage freezing every so often.

Are there no alternatives like a new sort of stand-alone player yet? Maybe an i-pod kind of gimmicky thing with HDMI or DVI??

Thanks for your response guys!
