Hello everyone,
I need your help... I'm looking to get a laptop to use for on-set monitoring, editing and other misc tasks (internet, writing, etc). The one i'm considering at the moment comes with 720p display standard... or 1080p display for $150 more.
Since I'm new to this, I plan to experiment with shooting at both resolutions. So should I go with the standard or spend the extra money for full HD? If I get the 720p display, what happens to the 1080 image I'm trying to monitor? Or is this a non-issue if I just go into desktop "Properties" and change the resolution there? Basically I'd like to spend the $150 somewhere else, if I can get by with the 720 display. Oh and for the moment let's assume, I won't be getting an external display.
I know it's a pretty newbie type question, but I'm getting a lot of conflicting info from the manufacturer, retailer, interweb, etc.
Thanks a bunch!
Specs

NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 540M 2GB
6GB RAM

640GB @ 7200 SATA Drive
