Laptop hoods?

I am thinking of getting a laptop and DV Rack and wondered if anyone has had issues with glare on the laptop monitors. I did a search for hoods for laptops and found this:

Does anybody use anything like this with their laptops?

I saw the hoodman laptop hood at NAB. Looked pretty useful...
...if you plan on working outside alot.

Yo, I JUST used the setup you described. I gaf taped some black board to the laptop. It was everything I had hoped it would be: Cheap and Effective!

foamcore works really well. It's sort of like a sandwich of two layers with foam in the middle. You cut/score through one layer and the foam then just fold it into whatever position you need it.

Actually, its "buy laptop and DV Rack" before foam core. And I am already in for my new tripod which should be rumbling its way down the east coast to me right now. And a few other toys from EVS. NEXT next on my list is a decent mic.....

THEN the laptop and DV Rack. Patience is a virtue.
