Laptop for HD Editing

Hello everyone. I currently edit on a windows based 2.8ghz pentium 4, 1gig of ram, and 1 terabyte of hard drive space. it has proved very useful however, i have long boring hours at my 9-5 where i can get some editing done. So i am in the market for an editing laptop. Why i decided to put it in HVX200 forums, is because I will also be purchasing the HVX200.. actually might hold for the HVX200A lol (i got screwed buying the dvx100 literally days before the 100a arrived). So im curious what specs are adequete to edit in HD.

i dont even think my computer now could do HD editing.
2.8ghz Pentium 4 w 800mhz fsb
1 gig ddr 400 dual channel
4 250gb maxtor sata hard drives
6800gt Nvidia card w 256mb of ram.

i already have purchased Sony Vegas for windows.

Unfortunately, Vegas does not support HVX footage. That's why a few on this forum have switched to Mac / Final Cut Pro,
because it handles the P2 cards and DVCProHD in realtime with no problems.

If you want true HD display there's only a few laptops that make a 1920 x 1200 screen. The Dell XPS, Sager and Alienware.
