Lanternlock China Balls: Opinions?

Sure, but the charm of a China ball is how much you get for so little spent.

Here's a shot from today. There's a tweenie for an edge light, a 575W HMI to bring up the ambient level and a good old nylon China ball with 4 100W equivalent daylight CFLs in it to key the actor. Nice. And cheap.

has anyone found a retailer with lanterns that fit the lantern lock other than filmtools? im specifically looking for the 24" size ball.im in canada, so the price on the filmtools website is a bit high for a china ball when you factor in the exchange rate and shipping. it ends up coming to around $42 for one paper lantern

on the filmtools website they specify the dimensions. top hole measures 4-3/4" in diameter and the bottom hole measures 3-1/4"
