I don't see how speaking another language pollutes your native tongue.

I wasn't necessarily referring to polluting my native tongue so much as the illegals in my country trying to force america to adapt to THEIR language even though they don't belong here. THUS, polluting my SOCIETY moreso than my language. It wont change my language because hell will freeze over before you hear me speaking spanish. BUT that's another issue for another day.

Lets see...hmm...

Oh, boy...
Is there a point in all this Kai?

BTW, I don't want to start a flame war, but I feel obliged to state that I think what you said is plain wrong (in many levels) and pretty much all of it, what many would consider a "pendejada". I don't think this brings any pertinent points to the argument, and incites a lot of pointless discussion.

I also would say that if I were a moderator, I would not tolerate a post that is clearly racist and prejudicial as the one I quoted. Sorry if I am out of line, but that is hard for me to let go unnoticed. John's comment was sarcatsic and actually pretty funny, even if not completely PC, but this is a plain racist offense.

If not for the sake of politeness, I ask you for the sake of order if you could not edit that last post of yours. I am particulary bothered by the expresisons "don't belong here" and especially "polluting my society".

Thanks.

Time to kill off this thread.

It's gone seriously bad.

Kai, remove the feet in your mouth, taubkin is quite correct.

Taubkin is right and I too was suprised to hear you (Kai) say those things. Especially since you're a world traveler and have been to some very remote areas. You've seen the "forced" influence (polluting) English and westerners have on those places you visited. Also, don't forget how America got started; Immigrants. ...And before that, we stole the land from Native Americans. I understand you were referring to people who enter the US illegally, but your comments sounded as though it wouldn't matter if they arrived legally or not. Please explain.

My 65 year old Mom (from Texas) just arrived in Nong Khai. After a day of traveling and seeing the sights, she had one thing to say, "Wow, we Americans sure are spoiled." And, it's true. Fact: America is 5% of the Earth's population, BUT consumes 80% of the Earth's resources.

IMO The US could benefit from more foreign influence. They should also take a backseat and let someone else drive the world for a while. I'm lookin' at you Equador. :)
