So, through a great email I landed myself an interview for freelance work with a production company that works very close with the Red Sox and uses the DVX. It's Tuesday (2/14) and I need to bring a reel. I've only had my DVX since December, so I don't have much footage yet (it's cold out man). I've got a couple of non-DVX projects from school that I plan on putting on it, but I really want to show off my DVX skills.
I have this idea of a music video type piece that will focus on composition, editing, and a little motion graphics. The song is uptempo but has a jam toward the end that is real mellow where i can slow down the pace. I have 6 days to make this and basically plan on shooting soley in the city and the 'burbs.
Any tips on zazzing up a reel? Yes, time is a factor, but I haven't a choice. I;m thinking some type of narrative, even if its really simple, will benifit the piece. It might be wierd if the whole thing is just random shots.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
