lakehouse

chick flick... i thought it was a dumb idea based on the trailer...

plus i kept thinking Speed 3: Lake House Adventure....

This trailer had me laughing out loud...It looks pretty ridiculous. Hey, I already saw "Kate and Leopold." I've had my fill of movies about "lovers who can communicate across the divide of time" for at least another 100 gazillion years or so.

:)

Reeves has picked his share of bombs, but Walk In the Clouds made me think he's got some talent in the hands of the right director.

I'd like to see this flick.

I agree with you about Reeves. I saw him in "The Gift" and liked him quite a bit.

Definitely want to see it. "Chick flick" is a title a lot of guys give movies that make them feel something. I like movies that make me feel something, so I will see this movie.

Reeves can do a good job in certain roles. Like in Bill and Ted or Point Break... but i don't see him in this role... Speed was alright and the first Matrix he was good in, but i can't see him in the role IMO

It doesn't look like a movie I'd put in my top 20 or anything. but I probably wouldn't mind watching it on a lazy sunday afternoon.

YOU GUYS NEED TO BUCK UP. I mean, I'm sure there is some twist at the end where like... they're inside of some computer, and it's not a really a divide in time but a glitch.

at the request of my girlfriend, I saw this remake of Il Mare tonight. Alejandro Agresti brought an interesting meta-strategy to the form of the piece. that being, and this is purely my own speculation, to shoot the film as if he were a filmmaker of the 1960's who had been instantly transplanted in our time and given contemporary tools with which to make a film. so you get a modern tale told with filmic techniques that have since evolved -- manual zooms, split screen, art direction, etc.

as for the content of the film, it is what it is. and that ain't good. the ending reminded me of the "film within a film" from The Player... you know, how they changed the ending at the last minute so Bruce Willis can save Julia Roberts from the gas chamber!
