So at the end, it will turn out that we're really the ones underwater and the world under the pool is the real world. Or something.

Is it bad that I thought it was a uTube parody?
 
that trailer is a little misleading... but misleading is what warner bros wanted. for example, in the feature the line "i thought it was going to be safe" plays for laughs as a payoff to an earlier line.

this is a sequel to Signs. here, the wolves/aliens will come from underground (water) but learn that they are allergic to air. and then leave.

hopefully m. night will leave with them.

lol, yeah, maybe he should leave with them, so you can spend your money on movies like "Aeonflux" and "Boogeyman" instead :)
 
God, he's in the trailer. He really needs to stop appearing in his own flicks.

I will see it for the cinematography and Paul Giamati. Other than that, I don't expect anything great. IMO M Night is WAY WAY WAY overhyped, and his flicks have serious ploblems (Signs and The Village in particular.)

Can you name me three movies that came out the same year as signs that were better than signs?
 
i dig M's movies, when i saw the new trailer yesterday i was actually surprised at what i saw, totally not what i expected which makes me wanna see it even more. i hope it's a good one, im sure it's going to LOOK amazing so that's exciting also

Yeah. I agree with your statements. He REALLY needs to stop putting himself in his films. He's a HORRIBLE actor. He has this look about him like, " LOL LOOK I'M IN A MOVIE. LOL HEY GUYS HEY. HEY. HEY GUYS, HEY. HEY HEY GUYS!?? G...guys? I'm.. in a movie? "

Another thing is... can the guy make something different? It looks like the village, signs, and a fairy tale rolled into one.

I mean HONESTLY. PLEASE MAKE SOMETHING NEW M.NIGHT ... or at the least take yourself out of the movie.
 
I too agree that Night needs to stop with the cameos. I love his work and think he is one of the better filmmakers working today; in fact I find him to be one of the few working filmmakers that seems to understand the langauge of cinema

I am baffled not only at the seemingly detesting of Night but the opinion his films are not good films. You guys trip on the hype sorrounding him ? The fact that he has succesfully Written and Directed 5 films (4 of which have grossed

I was totally into this trailer but was completely removed the second I saw Knight in it. I was like '****, there he is again'

He needs to chill on that. I also would like to see something new from him genrewise and we might get it with Life of Pi
