Rice Milk
Rice Icecream
Rice Cheese

These are my most recent discoveries. You can pick up the milk in any grocery store now. Tastes no different than regular ol cow fluids to me. I can make shakes and eat cearel now.

Rice Icecream was also good.

I found Rice Cheddar Cheese this weekend... and I fell in love. I can now shred cheddar on my food!!! Thought i'd share since I'm lactose intolerlant to the tenth degree.

about four years ago i started having a problem digesting dairy. so i switched to rice milk. never could stand soy milk, but rice milk tastes very good. i could enjoy a big bowl of cereal again without, the ramifications of sever lactose intolerance. the ice cream by Rice Dream is great too. doesn;'t have the wierd consistancy of soy-based products.

Man tell me about it. I was sad for quite some time about not being able to eat any cereal. And I still can't eat a few different kinds, but it's better than none by far.

Wow, never expected to get lactose advice on DVXuser.com! I started becoming more lactose intolerant a little over a year ago. I never heard of rice milk before so I will try that out. I have used Lactaid milk this year (the lactose free milk) and haven't had any problems. I tried those lactaid pills that you take by mouth but haven't found them too helpful. I am going to try out that rice ice cream! Anyone know of any lactose free yogurt?

Mmmm cow fluids.

Actually, a lot of cheese is lactose-free. Just check the package. I tried some stuff called Lactagen that was supposed to make me tolerant again. It kinda worked. I don't take Lactaid anymore unless I'm going nuts with the cow fluids (film at 11).

Until a year ago, I was eating at least two yogurts a day. I would love to find some lactose free yogurt, any ideas???

What flavors are there for the rice ice cream?

Well my doctor told me they can run the tests but they are not always conclusive. She said the best way to know you are lactose intolerant is if you start developing symptoms when you have lactose. For me, every time I would drink milk or eat heavy dairy products like ice cream or yogurt I would start to feel nauseous, have stomach aches, get headaches, and (much to my wife's dismay) have some nasty smelling farts. When I didn't eat lactose foods, I wouldn't get any of those symptoms. So I was pretty much able to diagnose myself. And for me it just started getting worse and worse over the past year. Last year I could eat yogurt and pizza with no problem (but not drink milk), but now I am much more intolerant to most lactose products. Hopefully that wasn't too much information :)
