Lacie drive - format for mac and PC?

I need to use a client's Lacie drive for digitizing footage, and to work off of (in FCP).
The client has a PC and wants to be able to use the remaining space on the drive for archiving other PC stuff and possibly to review the raw footage that I will have didg'd.

What is the easiest way to format the drive to suit this cross platform application?

I do believe that if the drive was originally formatted on a PC then you will be able to use it just fine under OSX.

It has been a while since I have done this, but I do know that a PC format drive can be read under OSX but a Mac formatted drive will needed to be formatted for use on a PC.


The only thing I am not sure of, if you plan on digitizing footage to the drive I don't know how FCP will deal with.. I assume that it should work fine if you set it as a Scratch disc..
