LaCie Big Disk

I just recieved my Boxx workstation from Boxx Tech and have been having trouble connecting my Lacie external HD. It has always been connected to my Apple G4 powerbook. I formatted the drive under Disk management (on the pc). The Drive powers up when connected via firewire, but doesn't show up anywhere on the computer to access it. Ive always been a Mac user so any advice will help.

thanks for the site, I think it was a problem with the firewire card.
