LA Trip

Going to LA August 26-30th 2009 could someone tell me some of the places that I need to visit. Like Comedy Clubs, Studio Tours, Independent or Major film sets. Any thing just help me plan my trip
 
Santa Monica Pier
Venice Beach
Griffith Park Observatory
Paramount Pics does a studio tour, so does NBC... I think WB does too. Never done any of them, though.

Walk of the stars in Hollywood

.... that's not a lot of the stuff you asked for but it sounds like a fun trip to me :)

As for smaller studios and film work I hear a lot of stuff has moved to Burbank nowadays. BTW I'm not from LA I'm from Portland, OR... I've just been down there a lot.

What is the purpose of your trip?

What are you interested in? For instance when I came to la, those previous places where an afterthought. As a d.p. , I had to go to mole Richardson, panavision, arri, jl fisher, kodak, and the asc clubhouse. What is your passion? Or is this trip more of a general vacation?

I'm 24 and I'm thinking of moving to LA in 10-12 months

I want to get the gist of the landscape of LA and I'm looking for places to get the full LA experience.
