Hey guys,

I'll be filming interviews in LA for the first time in two weeks and I am in need of a lighting kit. I searched google but couldn't find anything that didn't look like a generic website with nothing available on it, knowing LA I know there has to be some place out there.

Does anyone have any suggestions of a rental house I should check out?

Thank you!

So far I've realized LA is VERY strict with insurance on rentals. Trying to find a place that doesn't charge a 30% penalty with no insurance. I got a quote from Wooden Nickel, anyone have any luck at SIM Video?

For a SUPER one stop lighting and camera shop, on a budget - I recommend DIGITAL FILM STUDIOS, here:

DIGITAL FILM STUDIOS

Tell them Dan Kanes sent you, and they'll treat you extra good.

Sim Video doesn't rent lighting as far as I know, and as far as insurance goes:

I'd recommend either getting insurance (totally worth it) or just buy your own lights. If you don't have money to buy "real" lights

You should check out McNulty Nielsen Productions. They are right across the way from Wooden Nickel. Great Prices and great customer service.
