My favorite--

I wouldn't really call AI a Kubrick film. Where was Barry Lyndon?

[groveChuck]

Cool! No Paths of Glory endlessly looping trench tracking shot?

I wouldn't really call AI a Kubrick film.

Isn't the last film he's been involved into before he died? It was Kubrick's idea, that Spielberg directed after Kubrick asked him to do such:

Stanley Kubrick worked on the project for 12 years before his death, but along the way decided to let Steven Spielberg direct, saying it was "closer to his sensibilities". The two collaborated for years, resulting in Kubrick giving Spielberg a complete treatment and lots of conceptual art for the film prior to his death.

Yeah he let Speilberg direct and he was going to produce, but he died before production actually began, so he couldn't really oversee any of it.

Georges C. Scott wins.

And yeah, beautiful images from Barry Lyndon are definitely missing

I'm listening to Leroy Anderson and his music matches the humor of some of the Nicholson and Scott photos perfectly.

Would have liked to have seen something from Spartacus or the Killing as well. AI was much more of a Spielberg film, and had his sentimental stamp all over it, completely with innocent children and all.
