Krasnogorsk Meteor lenses and SGpro/HVX?

If you got one of the screwmount K-3's, it has a Pentax M42 (aka "universal screwmount") lenses. Some K-3's had a proprietary bayonet, but the better ones have M42.

Yes you could mount that lens on an SGPro, you can get M42 adapters to Canon or Nikon or Pentax-K. But it won't be worth spit on an SGpro, because the circle of illumination is extremely tiny -- it's sized to cover a 16mm frame size, not a full 35mm frame size. So you'll get a small circle of image and the rest of the screen will be black. A "porthole" effect.

I had a k-3 and pondered this same setup (35mm adapter and K-3 lens) but the lens on the K-3 was made with the same inconsistent quality as the camera. Some were super sharp and others were blah. I decided to go with Nikons. That's all I use now on my 35mm adapters.
