Kodak Film Stocks

I'm working on some camera tests and I'd like to shoot stills on film. Does anyone know where I can find a list of Kodak motion picture stocks and their corresponding still stocks? Extra credit if you have a resource for Fuji too.

Kodak's website is pretty informative. Film stocks in production now are listed there.

Also, what do you mean by corresponding still stocks? Their motion picture film stocks and stills film stock are not the same nor is one offered in the other's form. Under special circumstances and custom order, you used to be able to get rolls of photography 35mm that was cut from motion 35mm stock. That sounds like what you want, yes? I can't remember who did it, but I suppose it will be harder to find now that film is dying and the demand for an already niche market has likely further dried up.

For extra credit, Fuji's website is a good place to start as well.

RGB Color Lab used to sell 35mm motion picture film loaded into still rolls, and offer processing for them. Unfortunately, they are out of business. 3 or 4 years ago, I was interested in do some tests like you are talking about and at that time I could only find one outfit that was listing that they were able to load MP film into still canisters and process it and, after going through my saved links, I think it was the outfit linked to below. At the time, if I remember correctly, I think that they had it posted on their site that this was going to be a service that they would offer "Soon". I contacted them and they said that it was going to be something that they were going to do, but were not yet set up for it. I gave them my contact info and asked them to get back to me when they were ready. I never heard back from them. I see now on their site that it does not seem to be a service that they offer. However, if you are interested in that, I would call them, and a few of the other labs and ask them if they know a place that does that.

EDIT: I see that you are in San Francisco. I would contact Monaco Labs there and see if they know a place that can do it. It is my understanding that they are very indie friendly.

Thanks Ryan, I looked on their website first but couldn't find anything hence the post. Call me crazy but I swear I remember a professor in film school telling us that such and such motion picture stock was the same as such and such still stock so we could take stills for camera tests. Now that I'm thinking about it though, I think he might have been talking about Tri-X which I know they offer in stills and 16mm.

Recollecting from ancient memory, movie film stock can't be processed via 'ordinary' still film services, because the backing is different. You could buy cans of 'film ends', and cut down lengths to 'normal' 35mm
still film, and use 'reusable' cartridges. Just need to find a service buro to process it.

I mostly did B&W bulk still film cutting down and reloading...
