Kodak expands Super 8 film line, adds 50D Vision3 color negative stock.

It looks like the Kodak Vison3 50D color negative stock will soon be available in Super 8. I bet that would look very good. I my have to dust off my Elmo 1012 and shoot some stuff with it.

They only did that since they are discontinuing the reversal stock. Shooting negative on super8 makes the whole endeavor much more expensive than reversal since you need to add a printing step, unfortunately Overall, this is definitely not a good thing for super8.

Just read this news elsewhere and was quite surprised that 100D is being discontinued. I guess it makes sense that so few people are projecting now and neg stock is more suited to the digital world. 50D should be a great stock to shoot with though, loved it in 16mm.
