Knocking sound from HVX200

I saw a post regarding this a short while back. Now that I have my camera, I too notice a knocking sound when I tilt the camera forward to backward and vice versa. I can see this would be a problem when using a mic on the camera as it is rather loud. Is this an anomoly or do they all do this? Is there a fix?

thanks,
t

Whatever you do, don't turn on the camera...ever again. There's a BS inside the lens that will tear up the CCD chips and then lodge in the zoom mechanism. :D

I realize this is a DVX 100 thread, but check it out . . . I think it relates to your issue. Mine makes that noise as well--when it's off... see especially Barry's comments

That thread isn't needed all that is required is to search this forum for the answer if it's off ,but that thread is correct.

Ahh, almost a decent thread on clunking. I feel young again.

BTW, SilverWolf, I love your logo.

Thanks I'm still debating whether or not to go with it. My graphic designer who is doing my business cards is going to draft me up from cards so I can see what I like.

Cool, I turned it on and it doesn't do it.

This is why you guys are all making the big bucks! Thanks.

Pure? Are you sure they are not employing carat doubling technology to acheive that level? Probably exhibit noise and visible inclusion artifacts too.

Again, just leave yours on.
