Knobs for DVX's audio dials

Everyone complains about the audio controls on the DVX. My cam is more or less permanently kept and used in a Portabrace rain slicker so the controls are buried underneath and it's especially a pain to tweak the dials.

Well I came across these 'backs' for earrings and pins. These are off those company pins that people stick on their lapels. I thought they would make great knobs for the dials on the DVX.

Whaddya'll think ? I'm gonna glue 'em on and try it out.

Not bad, but I'd be hesitant to fix them to the DVX in any kind of a permanent way... (you may have already thought that)... another option would be the rubber stick-on feet for under electronics. I'm sure you could get a truncated cone-shape without looking too hard.
