Knob attatchments?

Hey all, I recently shot my first wedding having experience only in short films, and it was annoyingly difficult for me to accurately adjust the audio levels on the go while recording. I have the 100a and know that the knobs are recessed for a good reason, to prevent accidental bumps, but having to dig the end of your fingertip in there to get to move is a real pain, and once you DO get it to slide, it usually moves too fast or not enough.

Is there some kind of audio knob attachment that can tightly fit over the existing knobs and extend them out further? At this point I'm more worried about not being able to accurately adjust the levels when needed more than I am about accidentally bumping them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also I did do a search and didn't find anything previously discussed, so forgive me if I missed it.

The problem you describe is common to most of the camcorder models I've worked with. The best solution I've been able to come up with is an external mixer/preamp, such as the SD MixPre. In addition to better control, the MixPre will give you more clean gain than pretty much any camera currently on the market.

An external mixer/preamp will also allow you to adjust levels while shooting, without incedentally bumping or shaking the camera.
