"Knee" adjustment?

I'm wondering if there's a filter I can use to clip highlights in a scene like a "knee" setting would do in a camera. I don't want to mess with gamma. I just want to affect the very brightest values independently of everything else.

You can do that with the Whites wheel slider in the 3 way color corrector.

You can also adjust the whites with the "Video" slider in the ProcAmp filter under Image Control.

Maybe test out the captains blow out preventer plugin. Kind of like levels in photoshop...
