Kite cam ... Amazing

Has anyone here tried to raise a camera on a kite? Apparently, this is the first post on the subject on DVXuser.com. There should be a lot of discussion about this because if the technique is developed the results are spectacular yet very simple to achieve and cheap, as shown in this youtube video. This is the best I've found with a steady shot and the boat kept in frame... but how? Details please.

Ouch. It is a nice boat, though.

Cool idea. Doubt it can support anything more than a handicam (my lack of trust would talk me out of that, even). I wouldn't trust my camera up there. Sure is a resourceful idea.

Got a Flycam one. Only 37 gramms of weight.
used it on kites and even lightwigt park flyers andwhatnot.

Good clean fun for a view bucks.

Cris Benton was my professor in Berkeley. He made these rigs using little canon powershot. I vaguely remember asking him about video but thought it would be too shakey but I guess this video proves otherwise. I kinda wanna try it now myself. The last day of class we all went out to fly his kite rig. It was really cool.
