Kino flo Diva Soft Case. Any Recommendations

I have a kit with two Kino Flo Divas and two stands. The flight case is so heavy and hard to carry and to be honest I don't need a case so heavy duty. It's hard to get on my cart and pack in the van. I would love to have a soft light weight case to use for local production work. If I need to fly then the hard case would be perfect. The Kino Flo Divas are my main lights so they get used every time I pull out my camera I just need them to be more transport friendly.

I wonder if the soft cases Kino-flo makes for their 2ft 4bank remote units would work. Otherwise there are the single unit cases which would at least allow you to split up the weight. Sounds like the 2-unit flight case is 29lbs, they also make 15lb/11lb 1-unit cases with/without space for a stand. Maybe those are more manageable?

That's what I have, two diva kits with a stand bag. The individual hard cases might be easier to manage. I picked up a couple of 4 banks at an auction and got the soft cases for just this reason. Luckily they make a soft case for the 4 banks. The hard case for the Gaffer kit is big and heavy and you always need to bring both.

I'm curious what you find

I bought my Divas in the individual suitcases & they've proved rugged. Have had bad luck flying with Kinos so skipped the bulky flight case.

I had this RIG 4SR case from PortaBrace I didn't use for my C300 because it's massive, but two Diva 4 banks fit perfect with the two bulb packs and soft covers. I don't put stands in the case since the ones that came with the kit have way to small of a foot print. They are dangerous and shouldn't be used. First time I set it up it tipped over. Good thing I caught it! The kit is much lighter and I can put it on my cart without breaking my back. I have a small hand truck if I need to roll it out for bigger setups to make room for more stuff on the cart. I just set this up today so will give it a go for a while and see how it works, but for know I think I'm good to go. I'm thinking about getting individual suitcases as well since I don't use both at the same time as much.

Do you have a model number for the individual soft case? I'm interested in these too.

Did you look at Arriba cases? I wonder if they wouldn't have something that would work.

The soft 4 bank case is a good car case it's still is huge. It's better for me because the Gaffer road case with both which is really heavy and not good if I'm loading by myself.

I have two of these with supplemental padding, that I use for a 2 bank and 4 bank Coollights units. There's enough room to fit in a grip head, cord and diffusion. Would I fly with them? No, but for around town they have been a great and relativley inexpensive solution.

For my 2 lamp unit I can fit in 2 extra lamps, not so for the one that carries the 4 lamp unit. Just not enough room.

Kino Flo DIVA suitcase. Most people get their DIVAs in these. They are excellent and time tested/proven to work:

Here is the Kino Flo 2 head hardcase. Looks good but I haven't tried it:

Really, the first one, the hard shell case, is light weight; holds the head and a five bulb case. Part of the reason the DIVA is so successful is because of this case.
