Kino Flo Barfly 400 or Diva Lite 400 for AF100 and GH2???

Just got my Panasonic AF100 and GH2 (b-cam) and I need to purchase a good lighting setup for (3-point lighting) interviews (keylight, fill, backlight) for documentary work.

Because these cameras are so good with available light already, I was wondering how minimalist my lighting setup can afford to be.

Would the Kino Flo Barfly 400 (as keylight) and Bar Fly 200 (as backlight or top light to light talent's head) be enough, or would I have to go bigger...say Diva Lite 400 and 200.

All my interviews will take place indoors.

I like the idea of a Diva 400 kit. This would be a two light kit, and then add an Arri Softbank kit. For budget reasons, if you can't get both kits now, you could just get an arri or Mole 650 watt fresnel, with barndoors, and wire scrims, in addition to the Diva kit.
Barfly's are great indeed, but like all lights, they have their specific duties, and no gaffer is alike, so it boils down to need, coverage wanted, price, mood and a dozen other reasons. The Diva's will give you a more "wrap around" key light as they are larger than the barfly's, and of course much, much brighter. Go big, or go home... lol Good luck

Thanks guys. I forgot to mention that a top priority for me is also to have lights that are safe to handle...not boiling hot. I like Litepanels but their 1x1's are too expensive for me. Thank you both for the input and any further advice you might have.

I have 200 and 400 divas and think they might be the best money I've ever spent. I like the barfly system but don't always have the time to connect the ballasts, Divas are plug and play. I'd suggest a 200, a 400, and a couple of small fresnels for backgrounds. Make sure you get decent stands for the Divas, i like Avenger.

I would actually get 2 of the 4 banks Divas vs one 2 and one 4.

You can make the 4 dimmer, but you can't brighten the 2.
