Kino Diva 400 vs Kino 4 Bank

Hi Chris:

You gotta dig deeper - BTW, Zoomforce was Jarred's handle at the time and Barry chimed in but Jarred actually created the mights.

haha, thanks Dan, I linked the thread as 'Jarred - Zoomforce'. I did not realise that was the one you were referring to as Barry Green's Fluo study.

I have read a lot of threads now and probably thrashed the DVXuser server drives with my searches. Looking forward to your article in due course, and I will soon start to look into what comparable fluo items we can obtain here in AU. Thanks.

Hi Justyn:

I am planning an in-depth article on making your own video/film quality fluorescents. So far, I have crafted my own Diva 200s, bought basically a Chinese Diva 400 knockoff, adapted some Home Depot battery powered nook lights wiith Kino lamps. I still want to craft a 48" 2 bank or 4 bank. If you research it here on DVX User, Barry Green did a whole write up about how to craft 48" 2 banks from mostly Home Depot parts, although I would still use the Kino lamps with them.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Best,

Dan

Nice work, I build some of my lights too, but not for permanent use, I build them for the proyect and then take them apart, they take to much space to store them.

You want to know about a great beautiful light, that is still kind of a secret between the newest(best) cinematographers? They are called Linestra's it's an incandencet florescent like fixture! IT's the most beautiful light you can use, but it is a little warm, about 2,900 K. And it does generate heat, unlike flourescents.

Diva Lite makes the white background (and the reflection of the Diva Lite on the black shoes) look light pink with both the eyes and on tape. Explain.

Hi,

It's a big shame that the Kinoflow does not make 3200K bulbs for the Diva.
