King Kong

It has finally arrived, has anyone made it to a premiere yet? The reviews online make it sound pretty amazing! I haven't looked forward to a film this much since Jurassic Park!

If this film takes off (and I'm guessing it will) I wonder if it will affect how the industry works. Maybe we will see a new era of "Uber Directors."

I've wondered if we'll see a return to kind of an "old Hollywood" system. With all fo the greenscreen stuff that's happened recently it's like shooting the whole movie on the back lot again. I miss locations.

I'm having a hard time getting excited about Kong, but I'll see it, and I'm sure it will be great. I've just never cared for the originaly story.

Did anyone else love King Kong Lives? Okay, I was young, but I'm going to try and find it on video before I see PJ's version, haven't seen it for about 15 years.

That's the one with Linda Hamilton, right?
It wasn't bad.

Yeah! I rented it (well got my mum to) and then paid all my pocket money to rent it again the next day... I was only about 7 at the time though... probably think it was rubbish now.

You might want to just hang on to that fond memory and not rent it... Seen it a few weeks ago and it's horid IMO

Hey, it had Brian Kerwin in it. You know, the guy who carried "The Misadventures of Sheriff Lobo."

im really excited about this movie. however since i saw the X3 trailer my excitement for that movie has clouded my anticipation for kong... ya ya ya i know kong will be a better movie but im a huge xmen fan so thats why im so excited.

LOL... I just remember Kong eating someone's head and ripping another guy in two... scary stuff!

ok so some reviews have came in hgave its pro and more more cons needed for the movie heres the list of issues.

Cons:
Length
Length on the boat
They say you can see some Green Screen Seams(?!)
Adrien Broady
Jack Black (they just counldn't see past his comedic self)
the composed music stank.

Pros:
Pace once we see kong
Naomi watts
andy serkis perfomance as kong.

so they gave it a 6, which is a slightly above average. hmmmm. what was he watching?

I think all those cons....are from many of the early reviews of people that did not know what they were talking about. I dunno...i usually tend to agree with Entertainment weekly reviews...and Peter Travers reviews from Rolling Stone, both of which gave the film top marks and liked all the actors, including Brody.
