King Arthur

Nah, not gonna discuss the movie, it's not worth it. Whatever the reason was - the complete lack of blood during the battles, the stupid script or the 18 year old girl making out with 40 year old guy - it sucked...

BUT (Yeah, that's a really big "but")... somehow this movie ended up having one of THE most amazing pieces of music ever created as it's score. Arguably Zimmer's most powerful, touching and overall best work (and that says a lot considering his other, great achievements such as Gladiator, Black Hawk Down, Crimson Tide, The Rock, Thin Red Line). Seriously, I've lost count of how many times I listened to KA soundtrack and it can still easily (almost) bring me to tears :lipsrseal

If you haven't got it for some reason, fix the mistake now, get the score, you'll never regret it.

P.S. Does the DVD really have all the missing blood and gore?

Against my brain I decided to rent this one night. I rented the directors cut and have no idea how bad the theatrical version was other than the bad reviews and it getting pulled early from the theatres to make way for indie successes such as Napolean and Garden State.

The movie is severely full of cliches, which is probably what sinks it most. But, i have to say, the final fight scene in the directors cut is awesome!!! I watched it in the middle of the night, so maybe I was delusional, but in that state or not I found the final battle to be just as gripping if not better than any battle we've seen in the last 100 years of film... just as good as Gladiator, Lord of the Rings, Troy etc. Antoine Fucqua can really shoot a fight scene in my opinion.

So if you ever decide to rent it, make sure it's the directors cut and if the overbearing cliches get to you just skip ahead to the final battle!!!
