"I can't fly. But I can kick your ass."

Studios said no to it at first. This one looks promising.

Opens on April 16th

"The hype is justified. It's an amazing film, a simultaneously brutal and hysterical experience that was a blast in a packed crowd that laughed and applauded and cheered throughout the film. It's the real deal, just the film we were hoping for- one that mirrors the first Spider-man in many ways but is a much harder-edged look at things."
It doesn't say much but here is the full ARTICLE

Hope it delivers. It looks like a lot of fun.

I missed it at SXSW but I saw some scenes at a panel.

It's hard to beat Nick Cage lovingly shooting his 10 year old daughter in the chest so she can practice taking a bullet. Twisted and hilarious.

There's a lot of positive feedback coming in from people that watched it!

Come on April 16... hurry up dammit!

I thought it was merely "okay". The movie's stuck in this weird space by trying to be (more or less) realistic and gritty, yet the Big Daddy and Hit Girl characters are completely fantastical. Cage also tries this ill-advised attempt to mimic Adam West while in costume, but it took me a moment to realize what he was doing because it instead comes across as a poor William Shatner.
