keylight WORSE in CS3??

Where I work, we upgraded to CS3 from CS2 recently. It seems to me like Keylight doesn't work as well in CS3. Every time I try to get a good key, the blacks are VERY noisy. I used the same method as I did in CS2 and didn't really notice it. Has anybody else had this problem? How can I avoid it?
The videos I'm doing will eventually be compressed for the web, so it's not a huge deal, but I would like to know how to avoid that.

here are some specs...

CS3 running on Windows XP
Dell, Dual Core Intel, 4 gigs of RAM

Footage shot on DV, XL1
lighting used is a 5 piece flourescent kit, usual green screen set up.
(2 on screen, 1 key, 1 fill, 1 overhead)

its a newer version of keylight so it is a little different in the background, but imho ... if anything its better than the older version. you should try isolating the key to a specific luma range, and cut out the blacks.

after working more, it seems like the video quality is just crap. it's probably why it's so hard to get a good key. i've tried about every way there is to output from Premier, but once it's in AE, it's blocky and pixelated. i'm convinced AVI is the worst file format ever.

i really don't know how to isolate to a specific luma range. there isn't an option in keylight for that.

it's not that i'm really new with AE, but since upgrading to CS3, i've had a hard time keeping a good clean picture going from Premier to After Effects. the video looks terrible. and yes, the quality is on Best, not Draft. i wish i was a video engineer.
