Keying output settings

I have a transparent key that I made in Ultra CS3. I made a white solid in Premiere CS3 to use as a background. However, when I output to Microsoft AVI, then compress again to Quicktime H.264 and upload, the background does not match the white background of my browser window! Any ideas?

This movie will only work correctly in Firefox:

Perhaps Premiere is clamping your white level to be within broadcast standards? Are you seeing the shift in the AVI as well as the h264?

Quicktime's H.264 compressor shifts the gamma on your video to match MAC Gamma. Compressing h.264 via quicktime on a PC is not reccomended if you care about the quality of the colors.

If you need h.264, there are better free encoders out there like RipBOT. Just make sure that whoever you're posting the video too doesn't require a quicktime .mov container as ripbot only makes ISO standard .mp4 containers.
