Keying full body and half body

I do allot of shooting for web, mainly talking head stuff using a small blue screen studio we have. I mainly have been shooting half body stuff and keying has always gone very well. Here's a sample: http://claimseducationonline.com/video/intro-holly.mov

However, we've been asked to do full body shoots and when I do the keying, I'm getting allot of jagged edges. I realize I have to pull the camera back for these shoots but I'm still having to shrink the footage as I'm shooting HD 1080 with a Canon XHA1. Here is a first run of the full body shoots: http://yourelevatorpitch.net/adam

You can plainly see the difference around the edges. Is there anything I can do about this other than adding some smoothing effect? I tried using the outer smooth setting on Keylight and it helps but I don't like the fuzziness it gives off.

I wasn't sure if this is something I have to do on the capture side or is it the settings in my comp, or anything else I'm missing. Any help will be appreciated.

Hey, bbass74. Instead of pulling your camera back, try turning your camera's orientation to vertical. It seems strange but you'll lose less resolution. You can rotate image back 90-degrees when you key it.

Thanks foxwerks. I've got a Bogen 516 head, is there some mount that will allow be to have it on that head at a 90 degree?

Why not try a local photogaphy shop and look for tripods that can be angled to 90º. I have one that I use when I need to shot full body greenscreen.

Well we just purchased a new Bogen production tripod and the majority of our shoots are from the waste up so I'd hate to have to buy another tripod just for this. Plus, not sure if I can find one to support the weight. Also keep in mind that we have a telepropter on the camera as well. But looking at my setup, I bet I can rig some kind of L mount for it. Thanks.

then yes, if you have a tepromter it's not a good idea to buy a cheap photo tripod... I bet you'll be able to come up with something. Happy shooting.
