Hi, I just got AE 6 for mac today.
I was wondering how to keyframe a specific effect like one of the emotion or particle effects like how you do it in FCP 4.
I'm just messing around and I know that trial and error is what got me through learning just about everything in FCP4 but after effects is coming alot slower to me.

The effect im trying to get is lightning coming out of someone walking....kind of bland and cheesy but im just fooling around.
thanks
Aaron

Re: keyframing effects

I'm not sure what you need so feel free to correct me if i get you wrong...

keyframing in AE is made by clicking on the little watch that stands aside of any layer properties in a timeline, it's the same for effects... trial and error is fine but reading the manual and help files is useful ;D

That's strange since all valid versions come with a manual. Unless, of course, you are using a trial version ;)
