Keyframes Question

Hello,

For example, I have set my Position X for my first keyframe at say 100, then I proceed to set my second keyframe for X at 200. I assume that all the values in between the 2 fey frames will be between 100 and 200, but no. It dips below 100 for a while before it goes towards 200. Why does AE do that?

ps I'm doing camera movements.

Thanks

You need to set your interpolation to linear to avoid that. Right not it's doing a bezier interpolation on your keyframes. To fix it, just right click your keyframes and go to "Keyframe Interpolation" and change the Spatial Interpolation to Linear then adjust from there. You can also select the camera path and change it with the bezier handles to avoid the dreaded linearity so many beginning animators do.

Also, I'd be parenting your camera through a system of nulls to control different axis'. You'll get better camera moves and they'll be easier to tweak. Also turn off the Orient to Position of Interest in the camera, it sucks.
