Key/Fill/back britek suggestions

I'm looking at the briteks and need some help with selecting a basic setup
for key/fill/backlighting.
I know this is very vague but I'm looking for a good starter kit and I'm not really sure about how much light/wattage is needed for a key/ fill ect, ect.

Something that would work in a medium sized room( which is also very vague).
I would be using these lights for interview and informercial type shoots.

Any suggestions would be great. Obviously I'm a complete newbee to the lighting thing. I've done alot of reading on how to light but nothing I've read really gets into a fixtures themselfs.

Thanks.

I am also quite new to this and just got a DVX (it rocks) and have found that for small rooms the G300s work quite well. I think the 600/650s would be too bright. There is a 500W(2-G300w250watt bulbs) studio kit for $279 that I bought and added an extra softbox. The stands are functional but pretty lightweight and probably won't take much abuse. you might upgrade to the heavier ones. maybe throw in a 650 with Barns, softbox and stand, or perhaps just another G300. I think I might do that and get a boom rather than a regular stand for it. Mark

Hi s-audio - I just picked up a 500K studio kit from Rostronics, which includes two 250 watts plus stands, barn doors, cases and a softbox. The 250s are OK for a medium sized room, I just did tests last night in a 500 square foot space and it looked great (had to keep shutter speed below 1/60). But that's a really good starter kit for a great price.

For larger spaces (and more latitude in shooting) you might consider picking up a couple 600W.

edit: heh, Mark beat me to it - at least we're in agreement.
